Trip Report/Photos

There was speculation all week preceding the trip as to whether we would be rained out again; this was a reschedule of our originally planned outing on the a few weeks prior.

Half of our original rsvps peeled off in the days prior as rain pounded the bay area every day before the paddle...

But I'm happy to report, we didnt have a drop of rain, the sky was bright blue, the sun was out and we had a blast.

Elkhorn Slough is one of the last coastal wetlands in California and is abundant in wildlife.

Otters swam within feet of our kayaks, seals lined the shore and the 250+ birds that make the slough their habitat were in full force.

After a hearty paddle we grabbed some grub at Phil's in Moss Landing, which has been featured on the Food Network.

Great company and I think there was interest sufficient interest in running this outing again. So stay tuned!
