Trip Report/Photos

The weather started off cool but quickly warmed enough to ideal hiking weather.  The led uphill over a few rocks, but was short enough for us to handle without too much trouble.  There were many breaks in the woods where we were treated  to breath taking views of Hiram, colerful foliage, Pleasant Mt., Burnt Meadow Mt. and in the distance, the White Mountains.

One oddity of the trip was that a dog from the neighborhood met us in the trailhead parking lot.  When we headed out on the trail, he decided to accompany us.  He behaved quite well, obviously knew the trail, and was good company.  Apparently, he has done the same with other hikers in the past.  Afterward, he headed home.

Although the group was small, I found the hike pleasant with good company.  I looking forward to leading future hikes with them and my other hiking buddies.
