Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:

We will meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday 9/25 at the Devil’s Tombstone campground.  The actual trailhead parking area is about a quarter mile north of here, by notch lake.  Look for a scruffy and confused lot of guys, milling about looking for a working compass.  Failing all else – I drive a black Saturn, and will likely have a grey pack with me.  There is a parking fee (I think $7 for the day) to be paid for use of the parking lot at the trailhead, and you will need to pay this to NY Park services here at the campground office anyhow.

Directions: From South: NYS Thruway (I-87), Exit 19 at Kingston. Follow Route 28 West to Phoenicia. At Phoenicia, follow signs for Route 214. Devil's Tombstone Campground is located on Route 214, approximately 9 miles on left.

From North: NYS Thruway (I-87), Exit 21 at Catskill. Left on Route 23 East to Route 9W South. Follow Route 9W through Catskill to Route 23A west through Tannersville. Make left on Route 214, 2 miles past Tannersville. Campground located on Route 214, approximately 3 miles on right.
