Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:
From Los Angeles. 5N to 14N to 395N. Continue North another 42 miles and turn East on Hwy 190. In about 66 miles turn Right (South) onto Emigrant Canyon Road. In 21 miles you’ll be at Wildrose Junction; continue onto Mahogany Flat Road. The upper section of the road is rough and steep for the final 1.6 miles after the charcoal kilns. Thorndike is half way up; Mahogany Flat is at the top.
