Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:
Plan A- Camp the weekend/ Bike on Saturday
 
·         Reservations:
o         will be with Creeper Trail Campground- http://www.creepertrailcampground.com
§         When making reservations, tell them you are with the “Ray Cline” group. 
·         Cost:
o        Biking in itself is free. 
o        Campground / Tent sites are $25/night up to 4 persons on a site.
o        Cost will be to get transportation from Damascus, VA to White Top, VA
·         Creeper Trail Campground is conveniently located at the head of one of Virginia's most scenic hike and bike trails, the Virginia Creeper Trail. The trail runs from our campground to Abingdon, VA for 34.3 miles total. The trail began as an Indian footpath. In the early 1900's a railroad was constructed along the route. After the railroad closed in 1977 the route was converted to a hike and bike trail.
·         Creeper Trail Campground is located on an operational Christmas tree farm, Creeper Trail Christmas Trees
·         Campground Amenities
o        Bath house with hot showers
o        Secluded tent camping sites
o        Camp store
o        Restaurant
o        Picnic tables at every site
o        Rental mountain bikes
o        Horseback rider accommodations: stables, hay, hitching-posts
o        Fire pits at each campsite. Firewood is for sale.

 (many, many Inns, B&B are close by
 
You will need to be ready to ride on top of White Top Mountain at 10AM.
Logistics:
 
1.       Park at Bottom of Trail and arrange with Excursion provider to get you to top of hill by 10AM. You will finish at bottom of hill near your parked car. You may either arrange with a shuttle company in Damascus, VA to be at the excursion provider early enough to get to White Top trail head by 10AM. Call one of the listed providers and arrange transportation and/or rent a bike. 
 
 
2.       Drive to top of Mountain-Park at Trail head.   After the ride, Shuttle you and your bike back to top. 
a.       Utilizing shuttle service the Camping group is using to get back to the top of the mountain.
