Come join us for a morning of easy Kayaking thru the beautiful Retreat Meadows in the West River in Vermont!  This is a very easy , relaxed ride in calm waters.  Marshlands , views of the

Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:

Take I-91 from points North or South of Brattleboro and get off Exit 3.  Or take Route 9 ( also rte 101 ) from NH into Vt.  From the roundabout follow Putney Road South towards Brattleboro ctr.  Just b4 u cross the river , you will c Vermont Canoe Touring Ceneter on your left. (802-257-5008) If u need to rent a kayak , stop there. Ask them how to paddle to the put-in spot.  They will know if u show them the directions following. 

If u dont need to rent , keep going South on Putney Road until you're forced to take a right.  Then take ur next right.  This is VT Rte 30 or Linden Street.  You will pass the Brattleboro Retreat and then watch for the turnout for parking for river access.  ( about a 1/4 mile past the retreat. ) There is a farm/gift shop on the left directly across from the river parking area.  I will either be in a Ford Pick-up or a Red Mustang convertible and have an orange kayak!
