This hike is moderate in difficulty. We will hike approximately 10 miles and climb more than 1,500 feet in elevation from the base to the top of the ridge. So don't show up in flip flops.
From north or south, take I-87 (NYS Thruway) to Exit 16 (Harriman). After the toll booth, take the ramp onto NY Route 32 North. Bright Star Diner will be about a mile on the right (beyond Woodbury Outlets). Travel time is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes from Manhattan, 1 hour from most of North Jersey, and 2 hours from Albany.
