Seven of us (Cecil & Steve, Craig, George, Markus, Tom, and myself) fought the crowds of Brattleboro’s Gallery Walk to meet at Adagio Trattoria, where we re-connected over food and drink. Afterwards, we took a short hike across the street to the John Illig slideshow/ lecture at the Hooker-Dunham Theater, stopping to view a gallery on the way.

Illig’s presentation of his experiences on the Big Three trails was entertaining and informative. I think all of us were inspired by the talk. It certainly got me wondering how I might spend some time on the Pacific Crest Trail someday.

Another highlight of the evening for me was hearing guys talk about activities they’ve thought of doing closer to home here in Vermont: a Mt. Olga hike, Glastenbury backpack, Connecticut River paddle, and more.

Thanks guys for sharing the evening and coming out to support GO events in Vermont. See you again on the trails!
