From LA it's 178 miles (a little more than 3 hours). Take the 101 north; exit 4th street and turn Left; in 1.1 miles turn Right onto Grand Ave; in .2 miles turn Left onto CA-1 S/Pacific Blvd; in .7 miles turn right onto Pismo State Beach.
