Wanna scare yourself grey and see the world from above?  DO the Cannell Meadow ride and finish with THE PLUNGE.  This ride is a shuttle must.  Chris and I were part of the Mountain River Adventures' 2008 Fat Tire Festival.  This is a little know event at Kernville, CA every October for the past 17 years.  Great people and great times!  The festival offers the Cannell Meadow ride 3 days in a row if you are really hooked after the first day.  One of the most awe inspiring rides in the Southern Sierra Mountains.  Trail is about 20-25 miles in length and offers track of all sorts...the best is probably the multiple mile last leg of the ride that drops you from 8,000 ft to 3,000 ft...yeah, it's freaky crazy...but survivable!

Our second day of the Festival, 10/18/08, we did the Keysville/Kern River Canyon Trail.  This is a gruling 24 mile cross country tail, 99% single track and just blows your mind.  The MRA coordinators even have to supply water at a midpoint because of the need for so much water over the course of the trail. We had a small group of 10 people...with several hotties including the guide.  Again, a shuttle ride because of the distance and elevation loss.  A good 4 hour ride and so many vistas for picture taking.

After three days now and nearly 55 miles later, Chris and I threw in the towel and packed up and headed back for San Diego.

I'm planning on the trip for Oct. 2009...maybe we can get a large group of guys!
