Tamale Lunch Stew

Ingredients
1 14 1/2 oz. can tamales, sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
1 12 oz. can vegetable juice cocktail
1 8 3/4 oz. can whole kernel corn
1 8 oz. can red kidney beans drained
1 7 1/2 oz. can tomatoes cut up
1/2 tsp. sugar
dash pepper
1 4 oz. pkg. shredded sharp cheddar cheese (1 Cup)
 
Instructions
In a large sauceepan combine all ingredients except cheese. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer and uncover for 5 minutes. Serve in soup bowls sprinkle each serving with cheese.
