Jeffrey Albair Interview

What is your favorite place that you have been to on the planet?
I have traveled to some cool destinations and my favorite place on the whole planet is the safety of my own bed.

You're most likely to plan an outdoor excursion around what type of activity?
I like to plan outdoor things that are different from the norm. People should try and do thing outside all the time not just the weekends.

Do you shoot pictures with a digital or film camera?
I use a digital camera. I do not have any pictures posted yet because all my pictures come out blurry. Last weekend on a Camp-N-Canoe trip someone told me to hold the button down and let the camera focus. I really am a simpleton!

When you have a long weekend where would you typically go?
I don’t do anything typically. I like to go here, there and everywhere.

Do you prefer to save up for one big yearly trip, or take multiple shorter trips?
I live day to day so saving is out of the question. I go on trips two or three times a year sometimes near and sometimes far.

What's your dream destination?
Dubai! If you're going let me know.

When traveling, do you choose your destination more for cultural discovery or to enjoy your favorite outdoor pursuit?
Both, I can hike through a museum or a jungle and be happy!

Where do you plan to travel next year?
Rehoboth Beach, Maine, Cape, Vermont and a visit to see my grandkids in Alaska.

What is your favorite type of lodging?
Like any place from 5 star hotels to camping in a tent.

When making travel decisions, how important are environmental concerns? If very important, what are your standards?
Not very - I pick up after myself when traveling. I am more concerned with NH's environment.

What do you do to enhance your outdoor fitness?
Sex! I have a lot of hikes coming up this summer and I need a workout partner. Anyone want to get fit?

What is the most significant gear invention? You got me; I own a pair of Size8 hiking shoes and a backpack!

Your indispensible travel tip is...Always leave your troubles behind!
