Summary

The GayOutdoors Programs & Outdoor Activities Committee is excited to host our first-ever GO Lodging Weekend in beautiful Ogunquit, Maine!

Known as one of New England's most welcoming LGBTQ+ destinations, Ogunquit offers spectacular ocean scenery, beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants, charming shops, and a vibrant nightlife. During peak fall foliage, it's the perfect place to enjoy the best of both the mountains and the Maine coast.

Unlike a traditional GayOutdoors event with scheduled activities throughout the day, this weekend is designed as a relaxed community getaway. Think of it as a welcoming basecamp where members can connect, explore together, or simply enjoy the coast at their own pace.

Whether you're attending your first GayOutdoors event or reconnecting with old friends, GO Lodging Weekends are a wonderful opportunity to experience what GayOutdoors is all about:

Adventure • Community • Pride • Stewardship

Optional Weekend Activities

Choose as much—or as little—as you'd like to do.
• Hike Mount Agamenticus for panoramic coastal views
• Walk the spectacular Marginal Way
• Browse the shops, galleries, and cafés of Perkins Cove and downtown Ogunquit
• Enjoy leisurely beach walks
• Share group dinners
• Relax around the outdoor fire pit
• Unwind in the outdoor hot tub
• Experience Ogunquit's famous LGBTQ+ nightlife

Saturday

10:00 AM – Mount Agamenticus Hike
We'll meet in the hotel lobby before driving to Mount Agamenticus. This scenic 2.3-mile loop gains approximately 331 feet and rewards hikers with sweeping views of the Maine coastline and surrounding mountains. On exceptionally clear days, it's even possible to see Mount Washington.

Lunch: We'll decide as a group.

1:15 PM – Marginal Way & Perkins Cove
Enjoy one of New England's most scenic coastal walks.
The 2.5-mile round-trip Marginal Way follows the rocky Atlantic shoreline past tidal pools, dramatic cliffs, sea roses, and breathtaking ocean vistas before arriving at picturesque Perkins Cove.

The path is paved, relatively flat, and suitable for nearly everyone.

If time allows, we can browse downtown Ogunquit's shops, galleries, cafés, and waterfront.

4:00 PM – Relax at the Hotel
