Trip Report/Photos
Thank you to Dave for inviting us for a special off-season snowshoe at MountainSide! Thirteen of us met up at noon, most from GO and as well as a couple who stay at MountainSide in the summer. We were greeted with options of ginger tea or hot chocolate by a roaring bonfire. We spent almost two hours winding our way through a breathtakingly beautiful winter landscape, including neighboring Daniels Mountain blanketed beautifully in fresh powder. After, Dave invited us into his home for sausage sandwiches, pizza, and cookies. Most of us headed out around 4pm, right as the first flakes were starting to fall.
What an amazing start to the holiday weekend. Thank you so much to Dave, Brian, and Mike for having us!
