I’m upstate NY and always looking for hiking buddies. I tend to avoid the High Peaks because of the crowds and parking issues. Mainly hike in the central Adirondacks and Catskills. My trail hiking pace with a 15 pound backpack is 2 mph over moderate trails. I’m an experienced backpacker. Nice to see someone planning Adirondack hikes being it is the largest park (>6 million acres) in the contiguous United States.

I live near Lake George. I go hiking in the high peaks a couple times a week. I’ve done 45 of the 46 and would love some company on Allen mountain specifically but I’m also working on my grid (all 46 in each month of the year) so I have a ton to go. Camping is harder to get time off of work but I’d love to go camping more often.
Went to the Adirondacks last year for the eclipse on Gore Mountain. Skied the morning and partied on the deck after to watch the skies. Spent 5 nights in Lake Placid in August to hike more of the 4000 footers. Up to 10 now and would like to spend more time in that area to hit more peaks. Thinking late August to Labor Day.
