Don't miss this beautiful spring hike through the Arnold Arboretum - nature is really bursting there now and it is truly amazing! Beginning at the main entrance, we'll walk throughout the
We will meet at the Arnold Arboretum, 125 Arborway, Boston, MA 02130. You can use that address for your GPS. Parking is free along the main road (the Arborway). It's a 10 minute walk from the Forest Hills Station of the MBTA's Orange Line. We will meet at 1 pm on the main steps in front of the brick Hunnewell Building, which is just inside the main gate at the right. For parking, you might have to find a spot in the neighborhood just to the east (across the Arborway) of the Arboretum. If that's the case, you can walk across the Arborway, where there is a walk signal to use.
Yes - it really was the best day ever in the Anrold Arboretum! And how could it nor have been - the best group of congenial GO guys, the most ideal weather possible (sunny and in the 70s), and the most wonderful natural sights to be seen. The stand-out highlights of our stem-to-stern walk through the Arboretum were the awesome, luxuriant greenness of preserve, the flowering trees (especially the redbuds and dogwoods!), the magnifcent and intoxicating lilacs in bloom, the stunning views of the Boston Skyline from Peter's Hill and the picsturesque view of Great Blue Hill from Bussey Hill. Overall, just the most outstanding day you could possibly imagine!
