Continuing the Turkey Tramp tradition, let me be your guide since I used to work here. We will meet at the Trail head 1/2 mile into Mashamoquet Brook State Park located on Route 44 in Pomfret, CT.
From Hartford: 84 east to 44 east (exit 69); Providence: Rt 6 west to 44 west: Worcester and New London: 395 to exit 93 to 101 west to 44 west. Park is located about 2 miles from 101/44 junction. ( Do not use office location at 147 Wolf Den Drive). For GPS use 278 Mashamoquet Rd., Pomfret Center, CT 06259. Look for Red Prius. For park info: http://ct.gov.cwp/view.asp?a=2716&q=325238. There are no fees at this time of year.
