Please join me for an afternoon (3+ hours, 4-6 miles) of XC skiing on the woodland roads of the water company's beautiful property.  The trails, such as they are, aren't professionally groomed

Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:

We'll meet at the MDC property entrance opposite Canal Road, at the intersection with Hunter Drive (off Mountain Road in West Hartford 06107).  Parking is along the west side of Canal Road; there'll probably be a long line of cars already there so just turn onto Canal, drive down and turn around, park and bring your gear up to the gate.   Please us your GPS and/or mapping software for driving directions.

Here are the Google directions from I-90 (Mass. Turnpike):

Take exit 9 to merge onto I-84 W toward US-20/Hartford/New York City Partial toll road Entering Connecticut drive for 47.8 miles

Take exit 43 toward Park Rd/W Hartford Center and drive 0.4 miles

Merge onto Trout Brook Con at 0.1 mile

Turn right at Park Rd go 285 ft

Then ake the 1st left onto Trout Brook Dr and drive for 1.1 miles

Turn left at Fern St and drive for 1.5 miles

Take a slight left at Hunter Dr. and drive 0.7 mile.  Turn right to stay on Hunter Dr and go another 0.2 mile

Turn right at Canal Rd Destination will be on the right in 266 ft
