• About me: : Moved to mid-coast Maine and looking for buddies. I love to boat. Am also an artist, Quaker, and progressive. Far more contemplative than competitive. A bearded WASP from MA, I've lived in Seattle and Chicago and am coming home from city living.
• Favorite Places: : New places, tiny towns in the woods or on the water. Cape Cod's outer beach, Port Townsend, WA, and Point Reyes, CA. Still exploring Maine, so stay tuned, but for right now I'm loving the Pemaquid River since I'm renting a house on it and canoeing every other day. Looking forward to many kayak trips to islands hereabouts this summer.
• Outdoor Experience: : Sailing, motorcycling, city bicycling. "Strolling" outdoors (I tend to go slow and meditatively). I've been boating my whole life and single-handed my 35 ketch on Lake Michigan. Sold that and now have a 17 foot "micro- cruiser." Long-distance motorcycling. Have been getting into x/c skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking & canoeing.
