So, was suppose to go to work today, however, something in my gut told me that I HAD to stay home and since I did, decided I needed to get out and clear my mind....boy, am I glad I did.

Even though I've been here before, I wanted to come back and get my hiking and passport books stamped, so wanted to go on the Walter Mondale River trail loop.

Even though the DNRs website said that the tunnel was closed due to snow and ice, I was hoping that somehow I could bypass that...however, the tunnel was completely impassable...so I just back tracked the same way I went.

Lots of folks out with their kids enjoying the day and climbing around the rocks. I'm glad I chose to come out today as the trails weren't as crowded as they would be over a weekend.

When I started out, I was thinking....why didn't I bring a heavier jacket (as the wind was pretty nippy) however, it didn't last long and the hike was awesome.
