Mexican Riviera Cycling Cruise

Region: California/Hawaii Activity Type: Road Cycling Place: San Pedro, CA

So my idea is to find a weeklong cruise that typically has 3 ports.  At each port we organize a group bike ride in place of the expensive ship excursions.  Stop for lunch somewhere and end with Happy Hour somewhere in Mexico and board back on the ship with our bikes.

One of my best friends does group cruise travel planning and he said he could find really good deals for group rates.

Is anyone interested?

Sounds terrific. Depending on the pace and expense, I would be interested. Thanks

Always interested in cycling.

Is it a casual bike ride or a long ride for trained cyclists?

I'm totally open to suggestions. My thought was for it to be more leisurely and easy pace. If more experienced riders want to go it can be a faster pace, more distance... just being sure to leave enough time to be sure you don't miss the boat. But slower, more leisurely so you get to enjoy the cities we are visiting could be nice too. Since people might be interested... maybe I'll start looking into dates and prices and stuff.

Another easier version... although it doesn't include food or sleeping accomodations, is taking the train up the coast and picking a few California, Oregon, or Washington areas to ride.
