Summary

Enjoy a scenic paddle on the Batsto River in the heart of the New Jersey pine barrens. This winding and twisty river is mostly obstruction free and is a good trip for all levels. We will paddle past cedars, marsh and bogs on our way from Quaker Bridge to the take out at Batsto Lake.
This trip is being run through an outfitter. The outfitter will provide transportation to the Quaker Bridge put in and from the take out at Batsto Lake. The charge with a rental kayak and transportation is $40.00 for 10 or more or $45 for less then 10 including tax. Rental canoes are $60 ($30 each). If you are bringing your own boat, the charge is $25.00 solo or $40 tandem for the transportation. Note that prices are per person. There is no private shuttle option.

You must register for this trip. All money will be collected the morning of the trip. Please bring cash. Adams Canoe does not accept credit cards.

This is a class 1 river, no rapids. It is very calm and good for beginners.  Everyone will be required to wear a lifevest.  Water is clear and not deep.  I did not experience any bugs.

Pack a lunch and water we will take breaks along some sandy beaches for lunch and to stretch.  Pack items in water proof containers.  No alcohol allowed on the river.

We can do a post dinner near by.  Approx time on the river is about 3-4hrs depending on how long we break.
