Summary

This is an out and back road cycling trip from the Folk Art Center in Asheville, NC to Craggy Gardens visitor center The 38 mile round trip ride to Craggy is about 4,000 ft of climb out with about 1,500 on the way back. The ride takes in some great views of the Blue Ridge.   It takes me a little over 2 hours to make the trip out with stops and about an hour on the way back. Please make sure to have a helmet as well as water and snacks. We can stop as many times as one wants as we are in no great hurry but one should be in good cycling shape to participate.

There are several places for coffee or lunch after the ride close by. A visit to the center can also be included.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

The Folk Art Center is located just north of Tunnel Rd. (US 70) on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, NC.
