Summary
Looking to get some guys together to go to Water Wheel in Payson, AZ on Saturday, September 8th at 11am. We'll meet up in the parking lot, grab our gear, and hit the trail to the various water falls and pools. The hike is only about a quarter mile to the first fall. From there we can explore several other falls and pools. Please be sure to bring sunscreen, towel, water shoes and hiking shoes.
Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot
Directions to hike: From the 260 / 87 intersection in Payson go north on 87 a couple miles to the Houston Mesa turnoff on the right. Follow 7.8 miles to unmarked Water Wheel Camp Grounds. If you start going up hill and pass mile marker 8 you missed the pull out to the right at 7.8 miles. |

(Willing to give guys a ride)
- Comment: totally there. driving my own car may stop at sycamore creek on the way down.
@qrb233 - if you're wanting a group for sycamore creek let me know. I've never been but it's on my list. -Christopher
@Daniel G. This area is great. On top of what is listed above, i would recommend that you bring drinking water (az is dry), maybe some trail mix, wear something you can get wet.
