GayOutdoors has teamed up with Great Outdoors' Summer Jamboree for our annual GO Gathering. We will be camping for the weekend in a private group site in the San Gorgonio Wilderness near Big Bear Lake, CA.
This is our group BIG camping get-together and a great chance for you to meet new guys (or get reacquainted with old ones), try new activities and chat with all the guys you have got to know through GayOutdoors. This event typically gets about 100 guys!
This is NOT a luxurious type campground however RV's can be accomodated [no hook-ups]. Inexpensive pay showers are just a 5 minute drive at Barton Flats! You need to bring your own food and stove to cook on for the entire weekend. However the group is meeting up at B's Backyard BBQ [not included in pricing] for a late Saturday afternoon dinner and a continental breakfast will be provided [included in pricing] Sunday morning. It's BYOB all weekend. There will be a group campfire and star-gazing both Friday and Saturday nights. There will be an optional "Sunset Party" Cruise [additional cost] after dinner on Saturday on Big Bear Lake on an all-gay chartered boat. The campground is just 25 minutes from Big Bear Lake, CA at the Oso Group Camp. It's located at 6600' elevation in the secluded Barton Flats area off of Highway 38. What makes this place so special is that the campground itself is nestled in a pine and fir forest, its near Big Bear Lake for watersports [70-degree clean fresh water!] and the San Gorgonio Wilderness offers hiking trails for all skill levels. Activities include lounging and swimming at the Big Bear Lake beach with pay-for-your-own water adventures including jetskiing, boating, and water tubing! It's a great chance for outdoorzy guys to meet up and chat about their outdoor experiences. There will be activities at all levels sunbathing/swimming at Big Bear Lake, jetskiing, boating, water tubing, hiking, and much more! In the evenings we will be have group campfires including star-gazing activities. And did we mention there will be an all gay cruise Saturday night?
The basic cost for the weekend per person is $35.00 for camping and parking fees. Additional costs apply for some of the other activites including the gay cruise.
