Summary

The Minuteman Bikeway boasts more than a vibrant present. It has a storied past that includes, as the name implies, a role in Revolutionary War times. The trail travels through the area where the Revolutionary War began in April 1775.

On the Minuteman Bikeway traveling north into Arlington, we'll begin to understand why this trail is popular with pleasure seekers and commuters alike. Heading northeast from Cambridge, the bikeway connects Arlington, Lexington, and Bedford, easing access to neighborhoods, schools, and such natural areas as Spy Pond and Great Meadows

Location: Middlesex County

Endpoints: Alewife T-station in Cambridge to Bedford

Mileage of Trail: 11 miles.  Please note we will walk a total of 4 hours on the trail. 2 hours up the trail and 2 hours back. If people would like to grab something to eat/drink after the walk, the better!

Surface: Asphalt

Please visit: www.minutemanbikeway.org for more information

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

Coming from Boston, you have the option to hop the Red line subway to Alewife T-station, where the the Minuteman begins. The trail head is behind the T-station and ths is where we will meet at 11am.
