Summary

This event will ascend from Pinkham Notch via the Tuckermans Ravine Trail (4.1 Miles) to the summit of Mt. Washington (6288 Ft. Elevation). We will descend along the Boot Spur Trail, via the Crawford and Davis paths (5.5 miles down). The elevation climb on this hike will be 4256 feet from Pinkham Notch to the summit, with a round trip total of 9.6 miles. nhmtseeker and I will be co-leading this hike.

This is not an easy hike, and we suggest that  you have extensive hiking experience with 4000+ footers, and/or above treeline. Tuckermans ravine is steep in many places, and there is going to be a great deal of time spent above the treeline. The weather can change quickly in these elevations, so please be prepared for the possibility of changing climate.  Please bring warm/dry weather clothes. Rain or other inclimate weather will cancel this event.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

We will be meeting at 8 AM at the Pinkham Notch AMC facility on Rt 16. Please be there by 8, and we will meet at the front of the Pinkham Notch visitors center in the center of the courtyard. Pinkham Notch is roughly 12 miles north of Glen Junction on Rt 16.
