• About me: : I live in far northern Maine, and probably will not be able to take part in many events, but at least I can see what is going on...... Most of my travels are in northern Maine, but I do go to NH from time to time to go hiking..... Looking for other guys who like hiking. 99% of my hikes I do alone because there are not a lot of people in my area who like to hike...... Besides hiking, I do like to go camping. I also just like to explore the woods --> walking and driving... **** Even though I have moderate to strenuous for fitness level, that does not mean I don't want to do easy stuff. I'm up for leisurely hikes/walks on flat ground. I also like just going for drives and checking out the scenery. I do plenty of that in North Maine Woods, and other woods roads in the area. ***** I love to joke around, and have a good sense of humor. <-- Just ask Fred & Mo. LOL :)
• Favorite Places: : Baxter State Park, especially Katahdin. But, anywhere in Baxter is great..... North Maine Woods, which is is as big as the state of Connecticut. No towns, very few buildings, no paved roads, no power or telephone lines. There are several small mountains, and plenty of places to explore.... White Mtn Natl. Forest..... If I could take the crowds out of Acadia, I would go there more.
• Outdoor Experience: : I've hiked Katahdin countless times, including the Knife Edge. I've done 53 of the 67 New England 4,000 footers, and ten 100 highest. I've done long distance day hikes of 27 miles in 15 hours in Baxter State Park. I've hiked most trails in Baxter.
