Summary

Join us for a loop hike to Mt Roberts at Castle in the Clouds property.   This hike is about 8 miles with 1200 feet of elevation gain.   On the way up we will do the Mount Roberts trail with great views of Lake Winnepesaukee up to the summit, about 2.5 miles, where we will have lunch.   There are good views of the presidential range from the summit.    On the way down, we will descend by carriage roads via the High Ridge trail, Faraway Mountain trail, Cold Spring Trail, and Cold Spring Rd.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

From I-93, take Rt 25 east to Rt 109 South.   Go 2.2 miles on Rt 109, then stay left (straight) onto Rt 171 east.   Stay on Rt 171 for 0.5 miles, then turn left onto Ossipee Park Road into the Castle in the Clouds property.   The parking area will be 1.2 miles up Ossipee Park Road.    Note that Ossipee Park Road is before the main entrance to Castle in the Clouds, so if you get to the main entrance just turn around.    We will be driving a green Honda Civic.   If anyone wants to carpool from Plymouth, NH, let us know.
