June 2-4th was a huge weekend in Brattleboro. The Strolling of the Heifers was scheduled and of course the Annual Pride Bike ride organized by Scott and Dave, owners of Frog Meadow the Gay BnB in Newfane VT. The weather was dry, overcast with clouds when the group met up at the starting point. There were some sporadic drops of rain but that didn't deterred the group. The temps were perfect that day in the 60s but wind picked up in certain points of the ride.

The group started just right after noon with the first 5 miles covering parts of the Brattleboro's Main Street. Then off we went to a long stretch of Route 142 along the Connecticut River. The course offered a nice view of the river to our left. Then we took some quieter roads that showcased Vermont's farming charm. Endless of pastures, barns, farms and greeneries greeted us. We stopped several times along the way to hydrate and fuel up and take some pictures. Eventually, the group sorted itself out based on the rider's abilities but we still tried to stick as much as possible. In the end, we all finished in one piece and we were all invited by our gracious hosts to their oasis to relax, socialized and soak in their wood-fired hot tub outside the main BnB.
