Summary

Hamilton Falls Trail is a 6.8 mile out and back trail located near Jamaica, Vermont that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. It is 3 miles into the park, 2 of them are flat along the West River and the last mile is all up on a very steep incline ending at the Hamilton Falls. It is a beautiful natural waterfall that cuts 125 down sheer granite. If you aren't interested in going uphill, you can stay on the flat path for another mile and you would end up at the base of Ball Mountain Dam, also very beautiful. Please don't forget to bring water, lunch and a bug spray.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

Drive to Brattleboro, VT, taking exit 2 on Route 91. Turn left onto VT-9 E/Western Ave (signs for VT-30) Turn left onto Cedar St and then Turn left onto Route 30. Continue onto VT-30 to Jamaica, VT and look for the turn to Depot Road. Travel a half mile east on Depot Street. After the park entrance, bear right to the large parking lot. Begin on Railroad Bed Trail; trailhead is in the northwest corner by the picnic area.
