Summary

Please join me for this straight-forward, steady 2+ mile climb to the mighty 1907' summit of Green Mountain.  There's a panaromic view from the top of the fire tower which has recently been reconstructed.  Please bring water and a lunch to be enjoyed at the top.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

From Route 16N/S at the junction with Route 25E, take Route 25E (toward Portland ME) to the flashing light at Green Mountain Road in Effingham.  Turn right and then take the first left onto Winter Road and then left onto Highwatch Road.  Take Highwatch to the end where it turns into a dirt parking area.

Alternatively, I'd be glad to have everyone meet at my family's cottage on Ossipee Lake in Center Ossipee (70 Hodsdon Shore Road, 1 mile from the Rte 16/25E intersection) and carpool from there.  Anyone interested, just let me know and we'll make arrangements.  We should meet here by 10AM.
