Saturday, April 25, 2026
10:00 AM – 12:00PM
Spring is arriving—and so is one of the most magical times of year at the Boisvert & Normand Nature Preserve! Join us for a guided exploration of vernal pools and floodplain habitats, led by Wetland Scientists Lee Carbonneau and Sarah Allen.
This free, family-friendly walk is a great opportunity to explore this beautiful conserved property (protected by Five Rivers Conservation Trust) and connect with others who appreciate the outdoors.
Afterwards, we'll have trash bags and you are welcome to participate in a roadside clean up that borders our Preserve. If there is interest afterwards, we can have lunch at a nearby restaurant.
What to Expect
• Visit vernal pools alive with wood frogs & spotted salamanders
• Learn about amphibians, invertebrates & wetland ecology
• Enjoy birding and spring nature along scenic trails
• Explore pollinator gardens, floodplain forest, and a glacial esker ridge
• Hear about the vision for the Preserve from Mike Boisvert & Jon Normand
All ages welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult)
What to Bring
• Comfortable walking shoes or boots
• Warm, layered clothing
• Water
Important Details
• Rain date: May 2, 2026 (please be available for both dates)
