SUMMARY: Join GO for a hike up the iconic Ammonoosuc Ravine trail up to the summit of Mt Washington. We will ascend about 3800 ft to the summit. On route, we will stop at the Lake of the Clouds Hut. After lunch at the Mt. Washington State Park Cafeteria, we will descend along the Cog Railway path. We will be hiking at a relaxed moderate pace and take breaks to enjoy the amazing views. The hike is about 7 miles long & will take about 8 hours. Hikers are welcome to stay/camp out at my house near Franconia on Friday and/or Saturday if desired. The Spring Peepers and Tree Frogs will be active! Apres-hike barbecue/potluck on Saturday evening if desired.
