Trip Report/Photos
This was a nice easy, short hike south to north on the Bartram Trail. Since only one person joined me from GO on this hike, we altered the hike form the original plans. One other joined us, from Houston. He had flown in to watch the eclispe. From another site.
The hike started in Georgia at Beegum Gap and ended in North Carolina at Osage Mountain Overlook. This hike was heavily canopied, so, we had lots of shade. But the bridges we encountered tended to be slippery, as they never dry out. Being heavily canopied, we did not see a lot of flowers on this trip. Lots of moss and fungi though.

What Members Are Saying About This Trip/Event
- this was an interesting hike and about right for me after the longer hike the day before - though I thought the hike was going to be closer to 8 miles and it turned out closer to 6 - lots of water crossings on bridges, but even though slippery there was a handrail if needed - it was hiked naked but all the pics have others except one daredevil pic at the end at an overlook on a highway - while there with David I noticed no cars could be heard - hence a blurred naked pic I'll post - edfarthing
- Great hike and all 7 miles naked - the 3 of us totally enjoyed it even though there were no waterfalls on this part of the trail. From about 3 miles in north GA to about 4 miles in to SW NC near Highlands. - edfarthing
