This hike is a moderate 7.6 mile hike on the Appalachian Trail that will travel south to north, starting at Stecoah Gap and ending at Yellow Creek Gap. The Nantahala National Forest will be home to
...The meeting location for this hike will be the Mc Donalds in Robbinsville, North Carolina. The address for the Mc Donalds is 374 Rodney Orr Bypass, Robbinsville, NC, 28771.
We will be leaving from the Mc Donalds at 9:00 AM sharp to depart for the Yellow Creek Gap Trailhead. The drive to the trailhead should be about 30 minutes. We will leave vehicles here and drive to the Stecoah Gap Parking Lot, about 20 minutes. I would like to be on the trail by 10:00 AM.
This hike requires a car shuttle.
