Summary

To kick off the New Year,  join us for a hike up Mt. Pierce at 10AM Saturday (Jan 1) (via the Crawford Path) - a moderate 6 mile hike round trip with 2400 foot elevation gain. (We might add on a side trip to Mizpah Hut per hiker preference.)

Prepare for winter hiking conditions- so bring/wear microspikes (possibly snowshoes), warm winter insulated boots, gloves, hat, fleece pullover, parka and lots of layers, etc. If you have any questions about preparation for hiking in the winter, please email me. 

(Optional event): We also will be hosting a New Year's Eve Potluck/ Social (Friday afternoon/evening, Dec 31) at the house (Bear Pond) at Sugar Hill, NH.  If attending, please bring a food dish to share (appetizer, entree, dessert, etc.) BYOB. OK to arrive anytime Friday.  

Lodging: We have enough room at the house for 8 overnight guests on Friday and/or Saturday night.. If you would like to stay overnight, please let me know. If you would like to "reserve" a specific bedroom/bed, please let me know and I will assign if available. Otherwise, beds are assigned when guests arrive.   

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

New Years Day HIke: Mount Clinton Road off Route 302. From the junction of Route 3 and Route 302 in Twin Mountail, follow Route 302 Eastbound for 8.0 miles & take a left into road to hiker parking.  (Meet at 945AM to start hike at 10AM)

New Years Eve Social & Potluck: Bear Pond House at Sugar Hill, NH  - please contact/email me for address.  OK to arrive anytime Friday.
