Summary

This is a great hike with spectacular views especially during fall foliage.   The hike is a loop - slightly under 10 miles.  Starting at the Baldface Circle Trailhead we will take the following trails on our ascent:   Baldface Circle Trail, Slippery Brook Trail, Baldface Knob Trail,  then back on the Baldface Circle Trail again.   The Slippery Brook Trail will bypass most of the steep scramble up South Baldface (which can be very tricky at best).  Our descent will continue on the Baldface Circle Trail – to finish our loop.

“…The spectacular loop over the Baldfaces provides some of the most enjoyable open ledge hiking in the White Mountains. In addition to the stunning vistas of a more remote corner of the White Mountains from the two open summits of South and North Baldface, there is almost four miles of hiking with views all around you…”
