Trip Report/Photos
Featured Photo Trip Report: Northern Presidential Hike. We has perfect weather for our traverse- sunny, light winds, and mild temperatures. After spotting our cars at Appalachia, we drove to the Trailhead of Ridge of the Caps trail to hike to the summit of Mt. Jefferson. The Ridge of the Caps Trail is a very steep challenging "craggy" trail with 3 massive outcrops with great views of the White Mountains. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch on Mt. Jefferson along with lots of hikers doing the Presi Traverse. After lunch we continued to Mt. Adams and then down to the Madison Spring Hut & down the Valley Way Trail. The hike was about 10 miles. Enjoyed an apres-hike dinner in Littleton at the 99 restaurant.
