Apologies for the late posting. I thought it might be fun to add this walk/hike event even though it's quite short and easy. For those who enjoy getting out in the woods without
...Parking area is accessed at 1090 Ossipee Lake Road, Freedom NH. Drive in and follow the road to the left and then all the way back (through 1 stop sign) to a large parking area which may also have quite a few camping trailers in residence. Park wherever you can find a spot and meet at the trailhead on the left side of the parking lot. PLEASE LOOK AT THE GOOGLE MAPS SATELITTE VIEW BEFORE YOU SET OUT ON YOUR DRIVE. The proper access road is NOT identified by name but is the one just WEST of Lakeside Drive. There should be a sign indicating the Calumet Conference Center, as well. As you can see from the aerial view, Lakeside Drive does NOT go to the back parking lot; only the other road takes you all the way back. The aerial view also shows VERY CLEARLY the large back parking lot and where the trail takes off on the left side.
