This was a nice moderate hike on the AT,. It started off with a moderate, but long climb to High Rock (4460 ft) from Sams Gap. then it dipped to Rice Gap before making its last big climb to Frozen Knob ( 4400 ft). From there is was a long descent to Devil Fork Gap. Along the way we passed through an old apple orchard.

Near the end of our hike we came to a nice waterfall. Nice photo ops.

Three of us did this hike in nice weather in abut 4.5 hours. The hike was mostly in forest with only a couple of spots with views.
