Beautiful hike in the Nantahala River Valley.  Lots of mountain flowers in bloom.

The first 2.5 miles of the hike was along the Natahala River, as was the last mile. The last portion of the river was flooded with extra water for kayakers and rafters. Duke Power supplied the extra water from their dam.

The middle part of the hike was in the highlands of the Nantahala River valley.

Great weather but, we did catch a litle rain on this hike.
