YOU MAY WANT TO SING THIS TRIP REPORT (vs read it)

Just sit right back
And you'll hear a tale
A tale of a fateful hike,
That started from this chilly port,
Walking along the beach.
All mates were mighty hiking lads,
Their leader was assured.
Nine hikers set off that day,
For a three hour tour,
A three hour tour.

The weather started getting breezy,
The hike could not be stopped.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
All would be lost.
All would be lost.

We set our sites on walking the shores
Of this very popular town
With Lew,
And Richard too.
There was James and Jim
As well as Tom and Tim.
Allen and Dick
Made up the rest of the clique.
Here on Ogunquit beach.

(Extended verse)

So this is the tale of our hikers,
They were here for a longer than expected time.
They did make the best of things,
Until it was lunch time.

The hike leader and others too
All did their very best,
To make everyone comf'terble
During our hiking quest.

No gps, no lights, no motor cars,
But we had all the other luxuries
Unlike Robinson Crusoe
It was civilized as can be.

So join us here for another GO hike my friends,
You're sure to get a smile,
From all the follow hikers
Here at GayOutdoors!

FOOTNOTES:

Great bunch of guys on a great hike !!!

The weather was perfect – the hike included Ogunquit  beach and Marginal Way for an 8+  mile hike.

Thanks to Lew for tracking moon positioning - ensuring we did not get lost.  Now was that a waxing or waning moon?

Also, Lew is now our official cookie man.  He is required to go on all hikes I post.

Many thanks to Allen and Tim for the great pictures they took.

Due to the full disclosure policy of GO trip reports (do they even have one ?):
I must disclosure that the SOS photo below was not part of the original hike.   But it makes for great conversation.
