the next two mountains on my quest to complete the catskill 3500. accompanied by my trail guide, moe, and my piano teacher, noah, we got an early start on a warm and humid morning. starting a the woodland valley trailhead, this trail starts climbing immediately and barely lets up. there are many wonderful rock ledges that made things interesting and also lots of rocks under foot --  not so interesting.

the view from the summit of wittenberg is unmatched (my photo do not do justice) after soaking it in for a few we made that last little job to cornell including a shimmy up the famous cornell crack.

this trail kicked my butt, but completing it gave me a real sense of accomplishment.
