Summary

Ranked by USA Today's Readers’ Choice as the best Cross-Country Ski Resort on the East Coast…Nordic ski hub of the Northeast! We’ll meet at the Nordic Center in the Town Square to purchase tickets [LEAVE YOUR SKIS IN YOUR CAR] and then drive to the North End [Livermore/Depot Camp parking lot]. We’ll then embark on an unforgettable winter adventure on more than 76 kilometers of meticulously groomed trails into the surrounding mountains!

There is something for every skier, from beginner to expert. The trails vary from gentle wooded traverses to difficult mountain descents. The trails are nestled in a high valley within a ring of mountains in the White Mountain National Forest!

Waterville Valley Nordic Center is also exceptionally well situated in its “own snow belt.” The staff work hard to provide the most welcoming beautiful groomed trails anywhere. We’ll spend the morning on the beginner/intermediate trails along the scenic Livermore /Upper Snows Mountain trails, have lunch [bring your own lunch] on the top of Snows Mountain Ski Area with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and then spend the afternoon exploring other trails in the North End.

If you need to rent XC Ski equipment please arrive a half hour early so by the time we arrive at the Nordic Center for 9:30 AM, you are ready to GO! If this is your first-time cross-country skiing, we highly recommend you sign up for a beginner class and we can make arrangements for you to meet us on the trail once you’ve finished. Reservations are required for Nordic lessons. To make a reservation, please call 1-2 weeks ahead of time.

The trail fee is $25. Contact us if you have any questions.

We ask $10 per person to help pay for our food costs. Showers are available so bring a change of clothing to make your visit with us more comfortable.

Lodging Option: Bunk beds are available at our house [with Wi Fi] near Waterville Valley, NH for Friday and/or Saturday night. The cost is $25 for Friday night and $35 for Saturday that includes dinner [$60 for the weekend]. Coffee/bagels each morning and linen/blankets/towels are provided. Space is limited so email ASAP to reserve a bunk!

Find parking on the right hand side of the road and walk across the street to the Town Square. The Nordic Center is near Corcoran Pond on right hand side.LEAVE YOUR SKIS IN YOUR VEHICLE BECAUSE AFTER WE MEET, WE’LL BE DRIVING TO THE NORTH END [LIVERMORE/DEPOT CAMP PARKING LOT].   We’ll be meeting inside the ticket office at the Town Square.
