Summary

Join us for a flat, 7 mile hike along the banks of the Nashua river in the 325-acre Mine Falls Park, Nashua, NH. The park includes forest, wetlands, and open fields, making it easy to forget that you're in a city.

UPDATE MARCH 11: Though this is an easy, flat hike, Charlie reports that the park is quite icy in spots. If you have microspikes or similar, you'd be well-advised to bring them. Also bring snacks and/or lunch and water.

Waitlist folks: Thank you for your interest in the hike. As of now the trip is full, and we're unable to accommodate you. But if people drop out and leave open slots, you're welcome to join us. You'll be admitted to the trip in order according to your place on the waitlist.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

The "official" street address of the park is Whipple St., Nashua, but use 24 Stadium Drive, Nashua, NH—the address of the adjacent YMCA—for your GPS. Once you’re on Stadium Drive, you’ll see the YMCA on your left. Continue on Stadium Drive to the fork, take a right, then turn right in to the parking lot. The lot is located between the skateboard park and a dome-like building. Look for Neil's navy blue Toyota Prius with MA license plates.

Thank you, Neil and Charlie, for a great day at Mine Falls. Always wonderful seeing old friends and making new ones. And such a great opportunity for socializing! I forgot how much I used to enjoy exploring the park. Stay safe and hope to see everyone again soon. John
