Summary

Join us for a hike to the summit of Mt. Lafayette via the Greenleaf Trail.  The hike is 6 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 3320 feet.  If the weather is too inclement to summit the mountain, we will just hike to the Greenleaf Hut instead.  We will meet in the Cannon Mountain Tramway parking lot at the hiker parking section.  Prepare for late fall weather conditions & you may need foot traction (microspikes) depending on the conditions.  The hike will take about 6 hours to complete.  We will probably have lunch at the Greenleaf Hut.

(Optional) -After the hike, we will have an apre-hike get together at our house at Sugar Hill, NH- only about 10 minutes from Cannon Mountain.  We will have a "Happy Hour", dinner, and then Mike Boisvert & Jon Normand will present slides of their Austria Hut-to Hut Trip that we did this year in Aug/Sep.  The dinner will include typical Austrian Hut cuisine- beer, carafes of red wine, meat & cheese appetizer, dumpling soup, salad, pasta with meat sauce, and strudel. (Dinner Cost= $10/person)

We have room for 6 guests to stay overnight on Friday or Saturday if you need a place to stay.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot
