Summary

Make your reservations ASAP as they are filling up fast.!!Come join us for a camping trip amongst the Blue Ridge Mountains down in a valley in the town of Montebello, VA.  Campground is at Montebello Camping & Fishing Resort and information is found at

http://www.montebellova.com/camping.htm

This is private campground and has free hot showers, a lake, very nice camp store, fishing, and great views.  Please note that there is only one tent or camper per campsite allowed.  Make your reservations ASAP as they are filling up fast.  They have tent-only sites ($30/night); Water & Electric ($38/night), and Full Hookups ($42/night).  They also have cabins but I’m unsure of their availability.

I have campsite #40 for Thursday, October 17th, through Sunday, October 20th.  Look up the Map for campground layout if you want to get a place close to me.

NOTE:  There is absolutely NO CELLPHONE SERVICE within 5 miles of the campground.  Once you leave the Blue Ridge Parkway there is no way to communicate with others!!

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

http://www.montebellova.com/map.htm

Print out your maps to/from the campground.

The best approach is to come down the Blue Ridge Parkway and exit at the Hwy 56 intersection, and head east on Hwy 56 which is a very windy, and sometimes steep road.  However visit the link above for detailed instructions.
