Summary

Join us for a 45-mile road ride through the beautiful Connecticut River Valley! Known by locals as the “Tri State Ride” because it goes through the states of Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, this ride is like riding through a real picture postcard.

The ride is moderately hilly. Half way through the ride we will stop in Northfield, MA at an ice cream stand for snacks and an ice cream cone! Participants should be experienced cyclists and have road bikes, not hybrids or mountain bikes. We will be riding at a moderate pace of 14-15 mph. Maps will be provided at the beginning of the ride.

We will meet at 11.30 in Brattleboro, depart at noon sharp and expect to be done by 4:00. Following the ride participants are invited and welcome to come to Frog Meadow B&B for a BYOB social mixer, hot tub and dip in the pond.

Note that overnight lodging is available at Frog Meadow. Paid GO members receive a 10% courtesy lodging discount.

The rain date for the event is Sunday September 22

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

We will meet in Brattleboro at the parking lot at the intersection of Route 30 (AKA Linden Street) and Cedar Street immed north of downtown Brattleboro.

From Interstate 91 (north or south), take Exit 2 and make a left turn on Western Ave (Route 9), proceed appx .3 mile to Cedar Street and make a left turn.

Continue to 3rd stop sign which is Linden Street/Route 30.

The parking area is directly across route 30  from the intersection.

NOTE: Please plan to arrive by 11.30 so we can depart promptly at noon!
