Summary
This 5.8 mile hike will provide sweeping views of the Hiwassee River and the surrounding mountains..A beautiful view can be seen from the swinging bridge which crosses the Hiwassee River at the Apalachia Powerhouse. Anothe notable feature on this hike is the Narrows, a deep narrow gorge. At the confluence of Coker Creek and the Hiwassee River are an array of large, beautifully shaped boulders.
A side trip 3 miles up Coker Creek Trail will lead to beautiful cascades and waterfalls.
This will be a one-way hike and will require an auto shuttle. Plan to spend 4 to 6 hours on this hike (depending on the side trip).

The meeting place for this hike will be Webb Brothers Float Service (also a Texaco station). The address is 3708 TN30, Reliance, Tenn. 37369. The telephone number there is (423)388-2373.
We will be leaving the meeting place at 9:00 AM sharp. So, please arrive eariler for directions and supplies.
